Nauvoo

A family in our ward owns some property in Nauvoo and invited us to stay there over Spring Break. Free vacations always spark our interested and we left the next day. This is one of the Bed & Breakfasts they own.
This is the basement of that B & B. The smooth stones are from the original Nauvoo temple. After the members of the Church left Nauvoo, and the temple was burned, there was one wall left standing until a tornado knocked it down. After that, people in the community came and took to stones to do whatever they needed with them.

This was taken on our way to Nauvoo while stopping in Indianapolis. Doesn't the size of the gym and the size of the chocolate shop shock you a little bit?

Will in the car on the way to Nauvoo. Still able/wanting to chew on his toes.

Drunk with milk. Will actually was horrible on this trip. Well, only at night. He wouldn't sleep. We were in the basement and I think he may have been a little freaked out, but we actually didn't even really see anything in Nauvoo because we were so tired, it took us all day to recover from the night before. As my friend Kim said, "Kids, have a way of doing that." But it was still really nice to be in a different setting for a few days.

you should stay in that ward and take them up on the free stay when will gets a little bigger and you can get an over night babysitter.
