We were able to see our long lost sister-in-law Tamber in September in Indianapolis. This easily wins the Shortest Trip to Indy Award. We had intended on coming Friday night, staying the night in Tamber's posh hotel room and then leaving mid-morning, but we only lasted 2.5 hours in Indy. It was getting to bedtime and it was becoming very apparent that none of us would be sleep that night, courtesy Will. So we decided to just hit the road and head back and we rolled in to Newell Ct. around 2 am. It was still well worth it. Cortney and I always say that if family is within 3 hours, we'll always come to see them because we would except the same from our family members since the distance between us is usually so far. It was great catching up Tamber, even if it was less than 3 hours.
And another bright side, Cortney and I got a 4.5 hour long date that night driving to and from Indy. Our kids slept both ways, so we had lots of time to talk and I remember how much fun having a long conversation is. And it reminded me a lot of when we were dating and staying up really late, just to talk. And when we were really tired we started belting out the tunes on the radio. How many of you are married to men who can sing all the words to old school Madonna songs? Didn't think so.
It was also the 3 year anniversary of when we moved to Columbus and we spent most of the time reflecting on our time here and how much it has meant to us and changed our lives. We will forever be grateful for you, Columbus. You've given us so much and made us so happy. Other than that, we've had a lot of:

this. And a little of:

that. With a side of:

this. Duke is a pretty big deal (literally and figuratively).

I am glad that you guys came to visit, even if it was a short trip with expensive parking. I love the pictures of the kids!
