1/19

Church starts at noon, and Cort is usually gone for meetings most of the morning, which leaves me and the boys to fend for ourselves. I try to not let them watch too much tv, but Sunday mornings are always difficult because we all have to get ready and that's hard with only one adult in the house. We made pumpkin chocolate chip pancakes (becoming a Sunday tradition), and then walked down the street to throw rocks in the creek.

At church, Duke said the prayer in Primary and Will insisted on "helping" him. The microphone wasn't on, so no one could hear him, but it was the cutest scene. Will was so proud to help his brother and Duke was so thrilled to give the prayer and obviously thankful for Will's help. Will us such a great older brother. He's always looking out for the littles.

After church, we walked over to the park and Duke went fishing. He has loved fishing for so long, I'm embarrassed to say he's never actually been fishing. But we decided Cort would take him "real" fishing all day for his birthday. He'll love it. Both of them. Will played with a bunch if other boys catching craw dads in the creek. Little boy mischief.

Today is MLK day and we went on a "hike" this morning and then had a picnic at the park. The kids loved it and sadly, this was our first hike or picnic with the kids. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. I kept thinking there was no way it was January. It must be April or May!

We also played at Malcolm and Aubrey's house before we headed to speech therapy. Came home, ate dinner, watches Toy Story, had FHE, and called it a great day. Thank you MLK!

And here's Matt, just being adorable and living the life. I only wish I had his life. Sleep all the time, be held all the time, eat laying down all the time...
